This Guy Lives In An Airplane In The Woods
What do you see when you see a plane? I see a plane, something that takes me on holiday or travelling. Bruce Campbell sees a flying home, and when it’s not flying it has the potential just to be a home.
Bruce says that living in a Boeing 727 in the middle of the woods has always felt completely natural to him. He’s got a shower, a place to sleep and plenty of space.
His jet was once used as a Greek aircraft until the mid-1960s and now sits in a forest near Portland. It never came cheap, with Bruce paying $220,000 for the jet back when he was in his 20’s, and then forking out a further $23,000 for the ten acre patch of land that it sits on.
Bruce lives in the jet six months per year, and resides in Japan the rest of the time. He brought the plane as part of his wider mission to prevent retired jet liners from becoming scrap metal, and he claims that three planes per day are taken out of service.

Has anybody got a spare $220,000 they can lend me? I’ve just had an idea.
